I have worked in the healthcare industry for seven years on a medical/surgical floor assisting and managing the care of patients with multiple medical challenges. I truly enjoy caring for and helping people who are facing difficulties with their activities and health maintenance. I believe our geriatric community deserves the utmost respect and are entitled to living as independently as possible. I worked as a nurse assistant for four years and then pursued and received a degree as an RN and worked for three years in that role. As an RN on a hospital floor, I was not able to spend as much one-on-one time with my patients as I was able to as an assistant. I missed being able to give the care each individual patient deserves and am seeking a job in home health care so that I can spend more quality time with individuals.
