I have five beautiful children of my own. Two of them are special needs and it has made me very patience, loving, and understanding of the needs of many children. My 13-year-old son has ADHD, a reading and language disorder, as well as short term memory issues. My 6-year-old daughter has, sensory processing, developmental delays, and dyspraxia. It has made me very knowledgeable of therapies, behavior management, and IEP. I have also worked in group homes with developmentally delayed adults with behavior challenges for over 3 years. Which gave me experience with all kinds of different needs than what my children have. I am also experienced in tracheotomy care and g-tube care. My 12-year-old son had both for over a year and I was his primary care giver during that time.
