I am almost 22. I am currently attending Mott Community College which does limit some of my availability. For the month of April, I attend class between 4 p.m.- 9 p.m. I will not be taking any classes during the summer semester on May-August and when the fall semester begins, I can be flexible when I schedule. I have three younger sisters which I assisted my mother in caring for during a majority of growing up. After high school, I have been involved in a variety of caregiving work. The range of special needs I have cared for is vast. The college program I am following focuses on the need and developments of persons with special needs. This allows me to stay up to date on terms, on DSM's, and a variety of other information. I have also previously received trainings that are standard when working with companies such as recipient rights and medication administration. I am seeking full-time and long-term care work within the children, special needs, or a combination of the two areas. I also have experience in seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia. The vast range of ages I am comfortable with as well as the different disabling characteristics, gives me an upper hand. I take pride in the knowledge I have gained so far and always am looking to improve. I enjoy the outdoors and physical activities. I understand that everyone needs the ability to burn off energy. I also hold interest in assisting with learning new skills whether that be helping with homework or assisting with therapist suggested areas. Cleanliness is a huge factor of taking on caring jobs. I honestly enjoy cooking and cleaning- sometimes I may even clean too much. Please don't hesitate to contact or ask any questions you may have. Thanks for your time.
