My history with this community goes back to as long as I've known my brother, who is mentally handicapped. Ever since a young age I always was immersed in the life of someone with special needs. It helped developed me in a way to show compassion and love to everyone. Later I was given the opportunity to be able to assist and work with a young man who had mild autism. We worked on social skills, life skills and also became really good friends. Over the years, I have acquired many new friends and families that I've been able to help out and build bonds that stay strong through sporting events, social events, and also every season for the Special Olympics. I have experience in the school system as a paraprofessional in an Autism classroom and I also am a certified personal trainer. This isn't just a job for me, it's a passion of mine and I hope that I can help in anyway.
