My recent experience has been with my step-mom who had heart surgery, cancer, diabetes and scoliosis. I made sure she took her medications, doctor appts., errands, grocery shopping, some preparation of meals, help her with her walker, housekeeping, laundry, but most of all provide the companionship she needed. She doesn't drive anymore so I provide transportation when she needs it. I also helped take care of and feed her pets, and also house-sit/pet-sit for her when she goes on vacation. I am friendly, helpful, compassionate, trustworthy, reliable, punctual, and very flexible as far as my work schedule. I have my own transportation with a very reliable car. I enjoy care-giving and it makes me happy to help someone who really needs it. I also have experience working for an agency that provides caregivers for seniors. I would like to provide care-giving on a permanent basis for 1-2 people either part time or full time. I am 57 years old, single with one 26-year-old son who is on his own.
