I am a very compassionate and giving person. I took care of both my aging parents. One was very ill for years due to strokes, heart issues and cancer. The other had Alzheimer's disease. My experience includes care For a 99-year-old woman for over 2 years (64 hours a week). An 84-year-old gentleman and a 90-year-old woman with dementia. My responsibilities included, showering, personal hygiene, assistance in the bathroom, meal preparation, assisting with mobility, light housekeeping, shopping, transportation, and medication management. I also have a 59 year client with cerebral palsy and pancreatic cancer. I have worked for a an assisted living facility in Northbrook. In the past I have also provided a temporary home to homeless single mothers to help them get on their feet. I was responsible for running the soup kitchen in our area every other month. I also have provided home cooked meals to seniors on a monthly basis. I worked in the Corporate world for over 30 years.
