My experience caring for those with special needs started back in my childhood. I would help the neighbor with her daughter who was handicapped, by feeding, playing, and babysat while the mother did errands. Then, when I became a teen, I was always taking care of children and infants. I took care of a lady who was bedridden for about a year before she was up and around. I have 4 children of my own and 5 stepchildren that I have raised. My specialty at the hospital was intensive care for infants, Cardiac/telemetry, and research. Nurses are very adaptable. I enjoy more one on one care. Did some teaching on low income families on newborns at their homes. Did diabetic teaching at camps. Was a camp director for girls for my church for several years. It makes my heart and soul feel good when I help in any manner. I like horseback riding, sewing, learning anything. This is just a few things about me; call if you would like more information.
