I have worked as a life/job coach. I was a life coach for a young woman with a traumatic brain injury and a job coach for high school aged kids, with visual impairments. In both situations I worked with individuals to help them learn to capitalize on their abilities and work towards independence. I have worked as a companion for seniors and I also have experience working in a nursery school for developmentally delays toddlers (mostly with communication disorders). I am a firm believer that all people are capable; it's just a matter of tapping into one's capabilities. I majored in Cognitive Science at the University of Delaware (graduating the 3rd week of May), with a Speech Pathology concentration. I minored in Disability Studies. My educational background is strong but I am very willing to learn how to adapt myself to the needs of you and your family.
