I was born and raised in Russia. I graduated the teacher's training university in 2009, thinking I would be teaching English and German to the Russian kids but life brought me to America, where I found myself working with the preschool students with special needs. For the past 4 years of being a teacher's assistant in 1:1 specialized classroom, I have learned a tremendous amount of skills and completed many trainings related to the field (BHP, Safety Care, First Aid, Co Occurring Disorders, hands on ABA training). I currently work as a lead teacher and manage a classroom with 5 students. I love what I do; I am in it only for the kids, because as we all know, educators don't get much for their hard work. My job is not easy, but it is worth every minute. It warms my heart to see the results of my labor after time passes. It makes me happy and proud to see the progress of my students, who before starting in our preschool couldn't participate in any kind of group activities or follow simple verbal demands, or simply ask for its. :)
