This past spring I had the pleasure of working with a 12-year-old boy with phenylketonuria (PKU), along with his younger twin brothers. I tutored the boys in all subjects, including math, reading, grammar, and spelling working especially with the special needs boy. Throughout my time with this family, I got to know each of the boys and their wonderful, distinct personalities. One brother was quick and charismatic while the other was sweet and compassionate, and I found that the 12-year-old had phenomenal artistic skills! Although my time with them was brief, it was the most rewarding work experience I've ever had.
