I am a certified Special Education Teaching Assistant with 13 years experience working with children from elementary to high school. I currently work in a local school district. I am also a proud parent of a 27-year-old son on the autism spectrum who is quite independent. I also have a 21-year-old daughter that attends local college studying Sociology. As a parent and professional, I am fortunate to have a special sensitivity and compassion for individuals with disabilities. I also understand the parent's perspective of the special ed process. For me, there is no greater gift then to be able to "connect" with a child and to make them feel successful and happy. I am easy going, caring, compassionate and patient. I am available for child care and tutoring, after 3 p.m. afternoons and evenings during the week. I can also assist with daily living skills, homework help, arts and crafts, and computer help.
