Two of my kids were ADHD and required a lot of attention and threw outrageous fits and it took a lot of patience and understanding to deal with it. Children with special needs need to be handled with care but also still treated like a child and not a patient. They need to feel welcome and loved. If people are always getting frustrated with them then how do you expect them to stay calm or behave or understand that they may be different but they are still a child that needs love too. I don't mind working with special needs children at all because I have a lot of patience.

Damoniek (or Mila as she is now called) was with us for 2 years. At first she was great, although I will concur about punctuality. She was always 10 to 20 minutes late. However, over time, that got much worse, often times showing up an hour to an hour and one-half late. I tolerated it as much as I could as when she did show up, she did take good care of my daughter (with a couple of exceptions). Unfortunately, I don't think that her heart is in child-care any more, so I sadly, am unable to recommend her to anyone.
