I've been working with special needs clients for over a year now. I absolutely love it! I've worked with high functioning and lower, less ambulant functioning clients. I've dealt with brain trauma, seizures, Downs, developmentally delayed and much more. I've also taken care of elderly with diabetes, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. I've also taken care of paralyzed clients with and without special needs. I use to be able to work with non-ambulant clients but due to back and knee injuries I no longer can. If it's a rare occasion that's fine, but if it's an every day task I apologize, I cannot do that. I absolutely love taking care of others, but something about working with special needs just touches my heart!! I am very excited to work in-home with somebody and help them learn and grow. I have experience dealing with behaviors and calming them. It's not the easiest thing to do but everybody has room for growth and improvement!!
