I am in my last semester of college studying early childhood education and special education. I love it and cannot wait to working with young children with special needs on a regular basis. In high school I had some experience working with children with special needs in a special PE class, during lunch and I aided in their classroom for a period. Since then I have volunteered at several special Olympics and worked with my sister in her 4th and 5th grade resource classroom. Through my college classes I have also had the experience working with children with autism and ADHD in the classroom. I also worked with an individual with multiple and severe disorders. I did one on one intervention with this individual to help them meet their IEP goals.
