I have a passion to work with special needs children because I grew up with two cousins; one older and younger than I. As children playing together they got along better with me than our other peers. When others in the family could not get them to listen and redirect them I was able to do so. As an adult I am presently studying early childhood/special education. I have worked with special needs in my own family childcare, YMCA child care center, Prince George's School systems and the Prince George's Community College Clinician program. To me it is very rewarding working with these children and helping them to succeed in today's society. My long term goal is opening up my own boarding school with inclusive classrooms, this is my vision.
