I am certified to teach students with disabilities 7-12. Currently I work in a local school district as a paraprofessional, working with students with special needs to meet their goals as outlined in their IEP. I understand each child is different, as are their needs and interests, and use my ability to connect with students to create a caring and nurturing relationship to help students grow. Before moving to New Hampshire, I worked as a Direct Support Professional for ages 5-40, with various needs/disabilities. I also previously worked as a preschool teacher in an integrated classroom. I have particularly worked with many children who are autistic and have specialized training in this area. Growing up with family members with disabilities, I understand first-hand what it is like to worry about your loved ones depending on others for support, guidance, and an education and have done the necessary training and classes to help me be the best educator/caregiver I can be.
