My journey working with children with special needs began 8 years ago. For the past 8 years, I have held a part time position as a childcare provider for an individual with Autism. My desire to work, teach, and inspire our future learners motivated me to pursue a career in Elementary Education. After graduating, I have worked in two schools as a paraprofessional for elementary aged children with Autism. Both schools followed an Applied Behavior Analysis program. My key responsibility was to teach instructional readiness skills, communication, and social responsiveness, as well as to implement ABA based programs and behavior intervention plans. I have been trained proficiently in Crisis Management Techniques, and CPR certified.
