I am a recent graduate from the University of Central Missouri with a degree in both special education and elementary education. This August, I have begun working as a 5th grade teacher for the Lafayette County School District. Teaching is everything I hoped it would be, and my extensive background in working with students with special needs such as autism and behavioral issues has given me some experience to help with my teaching. I still have a lot of room to grow. During the summer, I am hoping to tutor students in order to help with summer retention as it is very important that students do not fall behind in the summer and forget everything they have worked so hard on all year. I love the feeling of making a difference in a child's life and the huge smile they get after I have spent some time with them because they know that I care for them and always will.
