I have been a teacher's aide in moderate to severe classrooms for 6 years. The children I have cared for have autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, mental retardation, or rarer disabilities. I completed a "Childcare in Education " certificate and also participated in many workshops on strategies for positive behavior and learning, information on specific disabilities, classroom management, music to assist learning, exercises and more. My training also included instruction on tube feeding, physical therapy exercises and use of adaptive equipment (gait trainers, standers and speech devices). I am patient and have a positive outlook. I am reliable, punctual and enthusiastic. I enjoy working with children because they have so much to offer, and it's rewarding to see their quality of life improve as they learn. I have participated in 12 workshops on autism, behavior, classroom management, benefits of music and exercise, and making assisted devices.

To Whom It May Concern: We have been blessed to have such an exceptional care provider for our teenage autistic son. Carol is always on time, follows directions thoroughly, and is very creative. In addition, she is caring and considerate. On several occasions, we have asked Carol to alter her schedule and she has been very accommodating. Lastly, Carol is trustworthy and I feel totally comfortable in leaving my non-verbal son in her care at anytime. She is a wonderful individual. Sincerely, Raymond Panagopoulos MA, MS.
