I have extensive experience working with young children with Autism. I myself have a 4-year-old daughter with sensory integration dysfunction and have worked with her to cope with her sensitivities. Prior to caring for my daughter, I worked as a first grade tutor for children with Autism, ADHD, and Asperger's. I also worked as a camp counselor and paid extra attention to the campers with special needs. I believe patience and ability to make them feel comfortable are the most important ways to help them overcome obstacles. There was no better feeling than seeing them succeed when they wanted to quit. I also worked with a special needs toddler in my toddler classroom. He was non-verbal and I taught him other ways to communicate. We worked on sign language skills that I taught him, as well as his family. He instantly was less frustrated, which allowed him to focus on overcoming other areas of difficulty. I would love to make a profound difference on another young child's life, as well as the family.

Cait is a wonderful caretaker. She took care of our children for four years since they were each newborns. She taught them sign language, potty training, and did arts and crafts projects with them to always surprise us when we came home. She had a solid structure with them and it helped them establish better sleep patterns. She was very fun and loving, but also mimicked our disciplinary style, which we thought was wonderful to keep consistency with the children. She was very flexible with her schedule for us. She brought her young daughter from time to time. This was a real treat for our kids as it gave them a chance to socialize. She also had a form that she created to keep us informed of the kids' days from sleeping, eating, to something fun they did or something funny they said. I loved being able to have the piece of mind that our babies were safe and having fun in her care. I would highly recommend Cait for any child care needs anyone has. Whether it is full-time care to an occasional date night. Your kids will love her, and so will you!
