I am currently a special education teacher for grades K-5. I work with children with a variety of disabilities. Before I became a teacher, I lived with six people with Down syndrome for a program at my university. For this job I taught a variety of life skills and scheduled activities for them to be included within the community. I have also worked with children with autism at a summer camp. I am extremely passionate about what I do. I believe that people with disabilities should live a full and complete life with acceptance in the community. I have enjoyed all of my experiences working with a wide range of disabilities and would love to keep having experiences! I like to make a difference in someone's life!
