I have loved, nurtured, played with, taught, and learned with children in the home, nursery, daycare, and preschool settings. During that time, I started working with and spending time with individuals with disabilities for a little more than 11 years. I acquired a job at a disability agency in the beginning of my career and found my niche. There, I worked with adults through children with varying disabilities, skill levels, and temperaments. I have also worked as a Paraprofessional at an Elementary school. I took three years of Sign Language in college, and know several functional signs, but would love to use it more regularly, and continue to grow in my knowledge of the language. I strive to advocate for those who are unable to use their voice effectively. My greatest desire to enable people to be as independent as possible and have a high quality of life. I love helping others succeed and accomplish their goals, while increasing their self-efficacy and motivation.
