I have been working with youth and adults with disabilities for over 8 years. I have experience working with a broad range of disabilities which include cerebral palsy, autism, autism spectrum, down syndrome, and so forth. I have worked in programs that have focused on social skills, behavioral management, independent living skills, and academics. I am trained in positive behavioral management and applied behavioral analysis. I am passionate about caring for those with special needs because of my personal connection to my nephew, who has autism spectrum disorder. I also enjoy the challenges that arise in overcoming behavioral, social, or independent living skill obstacles that impede growth, independence and happiness. In general, I enjoy helping individuals with disabilities reach whatever goals are set forth.
