After working as a social worker for some time, I studied art therapy. I took autistic children of various ages to a nearby farm where I assisted them with riding therapy and had great results. Being in their own world they respond very well to horses. I also baked bread with them which they like very much. I worked for an agency that cares for autistic adults as well, day and night shift. In that context, I have done a lot of training and classes. In addition, I have worked with children that have to deal with separation of their parents and developed certain behaviors because of that. I have taken care of a couple of young adults with MS and being in a wheelchair assisted them in every way possible. I love people and know that everyone needs help, some more than others. I feel fortunate to have such extensive training so that I can combine my love and patience with skills that benefit them.
