I have nannied for two kids (boy 5, girl 4) for a year in 2011-2012. These kids were not special needs. I prepared meals, drove to/from school, to doctors' appointments etc, prepared fun/learning activities, and sometimes stayed late. I've worked with the MDA for almost four years, volunteering at their summer camp. I've helped transfer children, bathed and fed them, worked with a c-pap, etc. I also worked at a camp for mentally challenged kids when I was younger, but that was years ago. I have a degree in Biology and currently work at a doctor's office. I'm planning on going to MUSC for an accelerated nursing program next spring. It is my dream to work with kids, especially special needs. There is something so rewarding in being able to help a child. Thanks for your time!
