I have worked with special needs for over 4 years and enjoy working with these individuals. I have current CPR/First Aid certification. I will also provide outings to those that want to go out in the community. My previous experience included taking care of a young gentleman that did not "speak" but communicated with signs and noises. I strive to help these individuals feel more independent with themselves. I provide meals according to the family's wishes, and can assist in bathing or grooming if needed. I will also provide bathroom assistance when needed or will work with those that maybe incontinent. I will do light housekeeping and will strive to make you happy. Happiness with special needs is something I believe that all individuals have the right to. If the person has a service plan, I will follow it and provide goal oriented activities to help achieve the goals in their service plan. I am currently attending online school for Applied Behavior Science so that I can further my skills in this field. I will have a bachelors degree in 2017 when I am finished.
