I worked for two years as an instructional assistant in special education in elementary and middle schools, as well as one summer for a program with autistic children. I had so many very rewarding experiences doing this work, getting to know the children and witnessing educational and social successes when accommodating their individual needs. It's wonderful to have the chance to be a nanny, and have the time to get to know them better and perhaps play an even more significant role in their life!
