Special needs children have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I have a very mild form of Cerebral Palsy and have been grateful to be able to use my disability in great ways to relate to and care for others. For many years I have volunteered with various day programs and school programs. I have been a paid caregiver for 8 years. It began working with AWARE and youth that have been diagnosed as SED (severely emotionally disturbed). After this job I work part time with a family that has adopted 11 children, all with various special needs. I am majored in Special Education and Elementary Education and managed a tutoring company and daycare for the next 4 years, before moving to Ethiopia. After living in Ethiopia for 2 years, I moved to California to get my masters. I just graduated and am looking forward to this next season of life.
