Tampa Special Needs Care

I have been providing child care for more than 15 years. I do not have a specific type of family that I care for as I love all children alike. I have cared for newborns, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, preteens, and teens. I also have experience with twins and special needs. I am comfortable with all ages but I enjoy ages 2-7 the most. I am just a big kid myself. I love playing outside with children and try my very best to keep their attention focused on real playing and not all of the gadgets that they have these days. In addition to providing childcare, I have worked as an online English teacher and a substitute for public and private elementary, middle, and high schools. I have experience with pet sitting and house sitting in addition to routine childcare. I am open to the possibility of teaching for a pod, tutoring, providing online supervision, and assistance with virtual online school. I am seeking a part-time position.

I am an authentic, out-going and adventurous 23-year-old! I am a college student living in South Tampa! I have experience with premature newborns, infant twins, and other newborns, as well as kids ages 0-15 (with special needs). After high school, I took a gap year (or 3), and lived in Germany as an Au Pair to a wonderful family. I enjoy taking babies on walks, taking kids to playgrounds, and I am not afraid to get on the floor and roll around with the kids I take care of, but horse rides cost 3 hugs! I have 10 years of experience in childcare, froming camp counselor (children 5-17 and adults with special needs), to Sunday school/nursery, to babysitting, to a lot of raising two of my siblings as infants. Infants are where I am most comfortable, but not too much more than any other ages! I also have an Annual Disney pass (LOVE Disney)! :) I can help with light housekeeping and laundry, as well as homework and keeping schedules. I have training in First Aid and CPR, but never been officially certified. I am all about work hard/play harder. Hello! I graduated from WVU where I received a Bachelors in Child Development and Family Studies as well as a minor in psych. My experience includes an internship at The Shack (Morgan town, WV), assisting in the after school care program for children in Pre-K through 6th grade. I was also a Recreational Assistant at the Barber National Institute for Camp Shamrock (children with special needs ages 5-21).
