My family is looking for an upbeat and dependable caregiver for our autistic son. He's a sweet, friendly, young man with no behaviors. He's non-verbal, but understands what is going on around him. . We need someone to work with him after he gets home in the afternoon.
The days and job hours are Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Job responsibilities include:
1) teaching him communication apps on his tablet and iPad
2) working on arts and crafts, and other creative projects
3) helping him with daily living skills
4) taking short walks in the community (example, parks)
We're looking for someone who wants a steady and long-term position.
This position is paid through a well known agency in NYC, which provides services to special needs
children and adults.
