Looking for a person or people to work with a 17-year-old male who has severe autism. This job entails teaching individual educational skills while following a behavior plan. This job is for a very active, young adult, sorry that's his preference. My son turned 17 on May 2nd but he is small for his age. He has ADHD, ODD, and Autism. We are looking for a very patient, kind, fun, active person. This position will consist of active play such as jumping on the trampoline, playing basketball, baseball, and basically keeping very busy. There will be times when he will be doing academics guided by his assistant in an ABA manner. Training will be provided by this family. All services will be delivered in our home. You must have your own transportation, be dog friendly, and a non-smoker due to allergies. He loves all people as long as they are nice to him but he needs full-time one-on-one guidance to stay on task. He can be aggressive but also can be easily redirected. The busier he is, the happier he is. He very seldom relaxes and his mind is always going. He has a very intensive behavior plan in place along with a structured schedule that will have to be closely followed by his personal assistant. He does prefer working with young females, he does best with people who have a pleasant, fun, personality. At times he may need assistance while in the bathroom. Parents will be onsite the majority of the time. After much training and experience, this personal assistant may accompany client in the community. Must pass background check. Personal Assistant must be able to fill out notes during their work hours pertaining to behaviors and activities. We will more than likely by hiring several employees to cover these hours.
