Sergio has been a complete blessing to me and my family. He is exactly what every caregiver should be! He is a PERFECT match for us. He helps my husband (who has a TBI) with everything with compassion and understanding even when my husband has outbursts. He helps me with things around the house and does it without needing or bringing attention to it! I thank God for this enormous blessing! I'm just praying he never moves and stays with us for a VERY LONG time! Lol Thanks Sergio!

I have been working with Heartland of Bedford for eight years, four years as a CNA and four years in assisted living as a medication aide and a resident care coordinator. For part-time work, I take care of an elderly at home weekends, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Taking care of our parents is the only job I know how. I surely enjoy taking care of our parents to make sure that they have a wide smile on their faces which I do most of my life for eight years. It makes me happy too, when I see elderly depending on me and put all their trust and confidence in me, that makes me feel like I am taking care of own parents. That makes me so happy and reflects to my residents wherever I work. Everyone of our parents I have worked with truly trusts me and I love that so very much. So I make sure my residents are in a safe and happy environment. I am always the same whether a new resident or the ones I am used to.

Diana had been with our family for about 13 years and cared for both of parents, first my father, then my mother. They both loved and adored her as do I. My siblings and I all live out of the area and we trusted her with everything- grocery shopping, medical care, doctor's visits, even home repairs, but her primary care of our parents was always first. She communicated any illness, changes in their behavior such as not eating or not drinking so we as a family could act on any concern. She managed the schedules of the other caregivers, with her gentle ability to solve any issues. She is happy, dedicated (never missed a day) and is gentle and loving to those for whom she cares. She is also fastidious in cleanliness and gave dignity to my parents who ultimately could not help themselves. She became a part of our family and we will never forget how she helped our parent's last years to be meaningful, comfortable and safe as well as the comfort she gave to us.
