Seeking care for my grandmother in her 80's. Services needed: companionship, feeding, meal preparation, medication prompting, mobility assistance, light housekeeping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training, support for chronic illness, support for memory care. A little more about my grandmother: she can be anxious, pleasant, outgoing, independent. My Nana has a lot of loves in life, most of all her family! A close second place are: her garden, reading about history, watching Jeopardy and painting. This past year she is increasingly suffering from congestive heart failure and cannot enjoy the things she loves as much. In order to help her stay in her home, my parents have moved into her house with her and have begun to use Hospice services. We are looking for extra help during the day so that they can have some respite. This Role could include: companionship, mobility assistance (she walks with a walker but sometimes needs help to safely navigate hallways), easy meal prep, medication reminders, and monitoring general safety as she suffers from intermittent/mild dementia. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, firm, fond of pets. We are looking for a compassionate caregiver who enjoys having conversations and working with the elderly. There are two friendly dogs in the home, but their care is provided for by my parents. This is role is primarily for respite for my parents who also live in the house. This means that sometimes they will also be home, but the care-giving will be done solely by the provider we are working with. At times, the caregiver may provide care while they leave to go to appointments, shop, etc.
