Care for disabled elderly man, who is mostly confined to bed and recovering from multiple, life threatening side effects of surgery. He is alert and has no cognitive impairment. Requires simple meal preparation, grooming assistance, help with bed exercises, frequent re-positioning, emptying Foley, possibly emptying or changing colostomy bag, light housework (washing dishes, cleaning counters, vacuuming), some pet care (feeding, walking). May occasionally require transferring to wheelchair by Hoyer lift. Must coordinate with other care givers. 20 hours per week on average, 7 hours per day+. Occasional weekends or evenings (3 hours). Experience as nursing assistant a plus. Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus.
