Seeking care for my mother in her 70s. Services needed: bathing / dressing, meal preparation, medication prompting, mobility assistance, transportation, light housekeeping, errands / shopping. Looking for someone with 7+ years of experience caring for seniors. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training, nursing experience, support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be pleasant, reserved. She was the primary care giver for my father who has Alzheimer's. He pass last August and since then she's become more dependent on care and suffering memory loss and confusion, especially with days, times and events. She is mobile, however not steady. We are concerned for safety getting around. We won't be letting her drive anymore so will need help grocery shopping. She no longer cooks and her eating habits have suffered. My mom doesn't "want" help but admits she needs it. I'm looking for someone who is patient. My sisters and I have been doing the best we can but her care needs are increasing and we cannot be there 24/7. The daily things like bathing and food prep are becoming more difficult. My mother is a very proud women and likes to look her best, this too is becoming more difficult. She loves to read and used to do crosswords.
