Seeking care for my mother in her 80s. Services needed: companionship, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance. Looking for someone with 7+ years of experience caring for seniors. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training, nursing experience, support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be pleasant, grouchy, outgoing, reserved, independent. My mother likes to talk sometimes it doesn't make sense she has dementia and she has had strokes there are times were she seems very normal but she is not. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, quiet, firm, strong, fond of pets. My mom can get on your nerves she can get a little sassy and thinking she can do what she wants to do we try to fake it somewhat to let her think that but in reality she's doing what we want her to do. She loves to go to markets she gets tired easier now she has a walker that she supposed to use doesn't like to her balance is not good she likes to go all the time but we tried to limit it now teaching her Games play keep her occupied I will be setting up somewhat of a routine for activities she has moved swings so she's real talkative happy one minute and sad and depressed silent another that's all part of the dementia she's always been a big eater loves to eat now but now with the dementia she always says she's not hungry even if she has a meeting all day so there will be a meal schedule that will be fixed for her by the caregiver they will need to sit down at the table with her she's eating you must make sure she takes her pills.
