Shower 2 times a week Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing. Preference for a caregiver who is female.

About who needs care: My 91-year-old mother in law is coming to visit over Christmas. We are looking for someone to help her with bathing one a week while she's at our home. She would need assistance getting into a bath tub sitting on a stool and using a hand shower and assistance bathing. Getting out of the shower drying off and getting clothed. We do not have a walk in shower. She has difficulty with her legs. So would need someone strong to hold her as she grips I handle to get up-and-over the tub. Hard of hearing & extreme short-term memory loss. About the care needs: She likes to talk and learn about people. So someone who is talkative would be helpful. She is funny so someone with a sense of humor would be a great fit someone with strength to help her in-and-out of the bath tub. And also be able to help her up should she slip and fall which we hoped would not happen. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing. Preference for a caregiver who is female.

Specialized care needs: support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be anxious, reserved. She is diabetic- neuropathy in her legs. Weakness in her legs. Also orthostatic hypo-tension. I'm looking for someone who is quiet, firm, strong. Needs to encourage mom to drink. Gets dehydrated. Encourage to do some exercise. Trying to keep mom as independent as possible would like them to help her bathe 2 times a week. Needs to continually remind mom to drink. I work 730-430 but mom is a late night person do she sleeps in. I am the only one caring for her but she has been falling more often and I would like someone here to keep an eye on her so she doesn't stay on the floor. They can call me to come home and help her up.
