Seeking care for my mother in her 50s. Services needed: companionship, meal preparation, medication prompting, mobility assistance, transportation, light housekeeping, errands / shopping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training, support for chronic illness, nursing experience, support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be anxious, lethargic, pleasant, reserved. She has Bipolar disorder. She's also been diagnosed with Dementia but it's in very early stages. She also smokes. She's a quite person by nature but enjoys talking with people she shares a common interest or hobby with. She enjoys reading, listening to music, and watching tv. She has a dog that she loves very much, who her friend takes care of and may bring by from time to time. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, firm, fond of pets. My ideal caregiver is someone who has patience yet is firm with her if she gets in a depressed or obsessive mood. My mother likes to get her nails done and go shopping. She has in the past had spending issues at different points so she may need a companion who knows what she really needs and what is excessive. She likes to have her independence and I do too, but I realize she needs to have someone who's able to see if something is wrong and step in if needed.
