My husband and I live with and take care of my 87-year-old father, who started hospice care in June. We are in need of an empathetic home health caregiver with 5+ years of experience, including dementia experience, who could be a companion for him for 6 hours a week (9A-3P) on EITHER Monday, Wednesday OR Thursday, while we take a a few hours of respite. Someone who has flexibility in their schedule would be ideal. We would prepare his lunch for you in advance. No hospice visits would be scheduled on the day that you come. There is a potential for more hours in the future. We are in the University Park / Union Park area. Thank you.

I need senior respite care provider with experience. Our care concerns are: Medication Prompting, Meal Preparation, Companionship. Important - experience with managing and administering medication is required. Seeking someone to handle light meal preparation. Looking for a caring and compassionate companion. Position will typically be one evening per week with the occasional weekend day or evening. Majority of Respite care duties will be companionship.

About who needs care: I'm my dad's regular caregiver. My husband need care a week at a time for respite. Dad is 103 and needs help when he walks with walker, meal prep, bathing and getting ready for bed. He is under hospice care and has some confusion but he's not aggressive or abusive. Looking for a care giver for my sister who is 36-years old with a traumatic brain injury and bi-polar II. the hours are to provide respite to her husband and my parents who are her primary caretakers. My sister is an talented, generous woman with a sharp sense of humor.
