We will be homeschooling this year. In search of someone to help supplement our language arts learning. Kindergarten- reading, phonics, writing 2nd grade - writing & spelling Patience, creativity & engaging. I would like someone to come to our home for 2 hours in the morning twice a week to work with my 2nd grader for 1 hour, 15 minute break & then work with my KG for 45 minutes. I would prefer 8-10 or 8:30-10:30 a.m. I do ask that the tutor is vaccinated against Covid 19. Tutoring will take place most days on our covered outdoor patio. Thank you.

We are looking for help in our home with our 1st and 4th grade kids to help throughout the day. My 4th grader is largely self-sufficient, my 1st grader requires a fair amount of oversight. Hours and days are flexible, but our ideal would be 4 days a week. We can guarantee a certain number of hours over an agreed upon time period. We are also open to continuing through the summer. My spouse and I both WFH. We also have a friendly elderly dog. Primary responsibilities would be keeping kids focused on school, helping with homework, light dish washing and meal prep. You would also get to keep up with the many school communications. We observe a high level of social distancing. We don't eat out, we get everything curbside, etc. We would need to be aligned on similar approaches. We can provide references.

We are looking for someone who has experience with teaching children. 7 year (ADHD) and 5-year-old boys are in 2nd & Kindergarden in virtual learning from home. Both need some help and attention to stay on task but mainly our older son needs someone to keep him focused and on task. He excels in math but needs help in writing and encouragement to improve reading comprehension and handwriting. Please respond if you can help through June.

Two middle school kids in need tutoring. Mon-Thurs 10-12.

Family needs a part-time teacher with virtual learning/home school. We have 3 elementary school kids that are in virtual learning and two middle school kids. We need support for making sure they are logged in on time and can get help when needed throughout the day. We also need help with figuring out what homework is due and logging the children onto the platforms so that they can complete the work. There will be another adult at the home while the kids are working so the teacher is just focused on the children's educational needs. This is a long term position from Monday to Thursday. We need someone that is able to organize the day and what they would like to work on with each child. A good candidate should have strong organizational skills.

B is 6 yrs old and is a first grader! He will be the only child but I am open to your child if combined learning is necessary. He will be learning with the teacher virtually for the bulk but will need help staying engaged in having fun while learning! Please Note: This job may involve working with multiple families. We have a rising first-grader at Springfield Park Elementary in Henrico and need a sitter to oversee his virtual learning in our home this fall. This would include keeping him on task with assignments and assisting with logging in to online classes and activities. He is bright and loves school, but had a hard time staying focused during this past spring's virtual learning. Hours are 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. At least one parent will be working from home at all times, should questions arise. We have been fairly strict during quarantine, with both parents working from home, limited trips for essentials, outdoor activities maintaining social distancing, and interactions with one neighbor family. We would like our caregiver to maintain a similar level of strictness. We look forward to hearing from you!

Pre-K Instruction needed for my 4-year-old to ready for kindergarten. We are a low-medium risk family and are seeking applicants that are willing to continue to be socially distant and follow disinfection procedures.
