CARE.COM LAUNCHES MOBILE APP CONNECTING MORE THAN 1 MILLION MEMBERS TO THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Launch of BigTent iPhone app enables more than 1,700 parenting groups to engage and interact
Waltham, Mass. – July 31, 2014 – Care.com (NYSE: CRCM), the world’s largest online destination for finding and managing family care, today launched a public iPhone beta of BigTent, a leading online community platform the company acquired in 2013. With more than 1 million registered members nationwide and over 1,700 parenting groups, BigTent is one of the most active online communities for families in the United States.
The app not only brings the core functionality of BigTent to iPhone, it provides a level of support and resources for parents not previously available on mobile. BigTent gives parents a more convenient way to connect locally on matters that affect their family, schools and communities through forums, events, and more.

BigTent has concentrated member groups in several major U.S. metropolitan areas. In the San Francisco Bay Area, BigTent hosts the leading parenting groups, including the Parents’ Club of Palo Alto Menlo Park (PAMP), the Southern Marin Mothers’ Club, the San Carlos/Belmont Mothers’ Club and dozens of others.
