I grew up with a family dog since I was 6 years old (Cookie - small Cockapoo), and when I was a senior in high school, I began fostering a dog that I ended up adopting (Kanga - medium/large German Shepherd/collie/sheltie mix). My parents also love animals, but I was always the designated dog trainer, walker, and my dogs know who to go to for the highest level of care, love, and kindness :) While in college, I adopted a cat (Stella - Russian blue/Manx mix) who is now my sidekick. I live alone with my cat Stella now, and even though she is not high maintenance, I have come to appreciate over the last 3 years how caring for her is almost like caring for a child. She depends on me for food, love, and cuddles - which I am eager to do each day. I understand the importance to not only feed/walk/clean animals' waste, but how crucial it is in caring for animals to show them love and affection. They have feelings too, and I want them to feel warm and safe while their owners are away!

I have had animals since growing up, two border collies then a Maine coon cat. I pet sat for several friends throughout college, several cats and dogs from well behaved to rambunctious! I love playing fetch with dogs and snuggling up with cats. I also am verified through another third-party dog walking service and have done that for the past 3 years. This included drop-ins, walks, Morning/nighttime feeding visits, and week-long stays. Hopefully I can come meet the furry fellow!

My current pup is a rescued 5 pound Toy Rat Terrier named Agnes and before her my pup was a 90 poubnd American Bulldog. My other pets include dogs, turtles, fish, bunnies, an iguana and I've lived with and cared for lovely cats and various birds. I have a combined experience of 10+ years working as a vet assistant, a dog handler at a Chicago training/ daycare facility which specializes in difficult to handle dogs, dog boarding/ walking+running for friends and family. I have owned two dogs in my lifetime and have cared for them for close to 10 years, one border collie and one lab, border collie mix. I also have lived with cats my entire life as well. I love animals and love being around them. Daily routines for my dog were feeding once in the morning and once at night, walking often, and playing/interacting with the dogs throughout the day. I also have taken care of injuries, sicknesses, and flees. Training our new puppy was another big learning experience for me as well. This made me see why the way my dogs do the things they do and it made me appreciate our relationship a lot more. I am willing to provide pet-sitting and/or dog-walking services. I have been around dogs since I was very young, and currently have a young Shepherd mix back at home. I have experience sitting for dogs (puppies-elderly), as well as cats. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes. I volunteered at the Naperville Area Humane Society as a morning cleaner/dog-walker. I do have experience with elderly dogs and can provide lifting assistance and administer medicine as well. If needed I would be able to bathe dogs and do light grooming. I would be able to provide boarding, but only for cats as my apartment unfortunately doesn't allow dogs.
