Looking For A Pet Sitter For 1 Dog In Worcester

Full Time $12 – 20/hr Starts 10/22 Worcester, MA
Hello, my name is Cristina and I have a 14-year-old Jack R. named N.. I've had her since she was only a 3-month-old puppy. She is my best friend. I'm looking for someone who can watch her while I'm at work. I recently started putting her in a playpen while I'm at work but my building has been complaining she barks when I'm gone when before no one even knew I had a dog because she was so quite. I'm really just looking for someone who can keep her company and she can sit with them while I'm at work and take her out once or twice. She will literally just lay and cuddle with you all day. My only other option is to bring her to Pennsylvania with my family and I don't want to give her up. She is all I have I don't want to send her away. Please help!

We will be out of town and are looking for a loving caring place where our two little chihuahuas, Annie and Zoey, will be safe and well cared for. They do very well with older kids but are a bit skittish with younger kids. I keep them mostly separate from my 1-year-old who likes to pull fur. Zoey, the smallest is 5lbs and had a traumatic experience with another dog years ago and is thus very wary of new dogs at first. They love hanging out with humans, playing fetch and other tricks, going for walks and play wrestling.

I need someone to watch my rescue dog, who has separation anxiety, while my boyfriend and I are at work. Anywhere from 5-15 hours a week, all I really need is someone to be with him to make sure he's not barking or whining. He's a small dachshund terrier mix. We also have 2 birds and 2 guinea pigs in the home. I'm prepared to pay $12-$15 an hour, I would also prefer that this person be female because my dog tends to be afraid of men.

FAQs for finding pet care jobs

How much do dog walkers make?
Dog walkers made between $15.63 and $18.26 in 2018, according to Care.com. In New York City, a dog walker working full time for themselves can bring home an income of about $800 a week — or $41,600 if you worked all 52 weeks a year. If you’re working for a company that takes a cut of your pay, your salary will likely be less than if you work for yourself, but you won’t have to do any of the scheduling, job finding, etc.
How much is pet sitting insurance?
Having pet sitting insurance can help to legitimize your business. General liability insurance ranges from $300-$1,000 annually, and protects against third-party claims for bodily injury or property damage arising from negligence on behalf of yourself, your employees or independent contractors. Other add-ons to consider include bonding, lost-key coverage, in-home boarding and workers compensation.
Do you have to have a license to be a pet sitter?
No but it demonstrates your commitment to your field and helps you stand out from the kid watching pets down the street. Several organizations offer certification including National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and Pet Sitters International (PSI). After passing the exams, you may receive a certificate you can display at your place of business or a logo you can add to your advertising materials.
