About who needs care: Prior to falling and breaking his hip, my father lived alone and took care of himself. Very active with yard work, still driving short distances during the day. Could cook and clean and go to grocery store. He has a lot of grit and does not complain about pain. Need someone to be with him 24/7 as he returns home. Not sure about the schedule yet. About the care needs: A kind hearted person that enjoys older folks. Dad has a hard time hearing and really doesn't get much out of watching tv. He has a hard time following stories - he will watch sports. But mostly he piddles around - cracks walnuts, gardens, goes to his pond to feed ducks and plays checkers and the card game rook. He can be bossy at times (in the kitchen) so patience is important. And someone who is optimistic and encouraging would be nice! Thank you.
