Seeking care for my mother in her 50s. Services needed: companionship, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, transportation, light housekeeping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: support for chronic illness. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be energetic, anxious, outgoing. My Mother in law has stage 5 Parkinson's. She is in a wheelchair but can walk short distances with her walker. She needs someone to help her with organizational tasks, cleaning and meal prep. She basically just needs supervision in her daily tasks and help if she were to fall. She says often that she just needs a set of "legs". My father in law and I both work from home so you will rarely have to be alone with her. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, firm, strong, fond of pets, outdoorsy. Our caregiver will have to have patience as my MIL's speech is sometimes hard to understand due to Parkinson's degenerating her neck muscles. Sometimes it takes a few tries to understand what she is saying.
