About who needs care: My mother-in-law has been an independent woman until recently. She lives in her home on our property and (at this point) only needs basic assistance. We feed her dinners but would appreciate transportation support for her appointments, dishes, laundry and groceries. Plus a dog walk in our beautiful neighborhood. She is 92 and on oxygen with multiple compromised systems in her health history, so we never know when we may need more help. Her dementia is worsening with each fall. We would like someone who is willing to possibly transition into more intensive care in the future. She has a housecleaner come in once a week and had a caregiver until last week for about 4 hours on Tuesday and Friday. About the care needs: She is fairly introverted and educated, though liberal-minded in most things. She appreciates basic respect and consideration for her opinions, as well as someone who can make a good pot roast! (I am not the best cook. We eat a lot of salads.) Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.

We are a small pod of parents who are looking for an experienced, friendly caretaker for our toddlers in a cooperative model in a mostly outdoor setting. The job could be 2 or 4 days a week (10 hours or 20 hours), depending on the caretaker's preference, and would include paid prep/clean-up time. A parent helper would be present for each session. There are 4-5 toddlers all between 1-3 years of age who already have a relationship and rapport, and range in personality from calm/observant to energetic/physically engaged. Our ideal caregiver has experience in early childhood education and with toddlers, is creative, can create a routine for kids/parent assistant, and enjoys nature and engaging kids in the natural world. They must be physically capable of handling up to two toddlers at a time, including lifting and carrying.

We are looking for a great nanny for 1 adorable and well mannered child in Port Townsend. We would prefer a nanny who has their own car and who is CPR certified. I am a single mom and make $18 an hour but should be hopefully receiving assistance with childcare funds.
