About who needs care: Mother is very independent has taken care of herself and her own care as well as cooking, cleaning etc. She is still able to do most of these things, but she should and does need someone to be with her and assist her when she baths/sits/showers twice a week. She keeps her home spotless but could use someone to assist her with moping, bathroom, vacuuming, bed making, changing of the sheets, the heavier cleaning once a month or as needed. For her independence she can continue dusting and light housework. She has back and knee pain and has been informed she shouldn't bend or overdo. She enjoys being outside but is limited due to the possibility of falling. She has had in-home physical therapy for her back which does help her with her pain and balance. She tries to do her exercises on her own which I believe she does some but with additional assistance and consistency I believe she would feel better with less pain. I have assisted her with these things, so I believe 3 to 4 hours twice a week would give her the help she needs to keep her on her feet and continue living a healthy and happy life. About the care needs: My mother enjoys a conversation but does like quiet time as well. She does enjoy church, flowers, home and her children. Again, she is a private person but does enjoys some conversation. So, a reserved, to the point person, and job at hand would be appropriated.
