Seeking care for my loved one in her 100s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, feeding, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, transportation, light housekeeping, errands / shopping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training, support for chronic illness, nursing experience. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my loved one: she can be pleasant, independent. My loved one would like to be independent. She did weight training until 5 years ago. She is legally blind. Her hearing and mental faculties are excellent. She is a Christian lady who prefers positive people. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, quiet. Our ideal caregiver would be patient with our loved one, as she is recovering from multiple injuries which occurred while in the hospital (from pneumonia). We want someone that will be empathetic with our loved one's requests and encourage appropriate independence while also being strong and firm enough to ensure her safety and well being for the rest of her life. She might like to continue hosting a prayer group once a week from home. When able, she also attends church every Sunday. She listens to Braille books and she enjoys conversation with people.
