Seeking care for my mother in her 90s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, meal preparation, mobility assistance. No prior experience required. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be pleasant. She loves company and attention. She would love to get out more, but two bad knees make it very difficult. She needs her walker around home, has no strength anymore. Just taking her shower wears her out. We presently have home care in morning for 1 to 2 hours getting her breakfast and making plate for later. She's been widowed for 15 years and will be 92 in Oct. She watches tv or listens to music all day. She has very kind neighbors. She tries to get thru the paper daily, but that is tiresome also. I'm looking for someone who is patient, strong. To be compassionate, patient and kind. To get breakfast ready and make plate for dinner. To help minimal while she showers and gets dressed (She showers every other day) have conversation while there. Duties may evolve over time. Mom's hearing, like anyone her age, is failing and does not have aids. Just need a little extra column, not yelling. Could definitely go out on porch in good weather or a walk in wheelchair. She is past the time for extra care.
