About who needs care: general geriatric care, possible early stage dementia. My mother also has a list of health related problems including heart, thyroid, and cancer - nonetheless she is very sharp and still can walk. My mother is 83 and my two older brothers (58, and 59) are both disable too, and may be helpful to offer them some care too. Unfortunately, they do smoke.
About the care needs: They don't have to be CNAs, but handling and giving medicine, helping with light laundry - we do have a laundry service set up for major things. Small housework, though they are quite self-sufficient, in general. Assisting my mother with walking around the house, maybe making lunch every now and then, shopping or even picking up items that I can order from out of town. Bringing in packages that may be heavy, etc. They need to be tough emotionally because all three can be stubborn, and set in their ways - but they are all feeble so it's not a difficult situation physically.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
